A Nursing Qualification from Montenegro Usually Needs Nostrification
Montenegro is outside the EU, EEA and Switzerland, so nursing education completed there normally follows Austrian nostrification rather than the EU recognition route. Connect the Job Offer to the Correct Residence Route
Austria’s nationwide 2026 shortage list includes graduate nurses and both nursing-assistant levels. A Montenegrin citizen with a binding Austrian offer may therefore assess the Red-White-Red Card for Skilled Workers in Shortage Occupations, which requires qualifying training, statutory pay, at least 55 points and the other residence conditions.
